Brian J. Frasca, CEO
Sarah Johnson Court, Managing Director
After extensive industry experience working for two privately held firms, Brian founded VFGI in 2017. From 2002 to 2009, Brian headed the Private Client and Fine Art Practice at NEBCO in Greenwich, CT. From 2009 to 2017, Brian acted as the Director of Private Risk Management & Collector Services at the Rampart Group in Lake Success, NY. At the age of 24, Brian insured one of the largest private collections in the world, a collection in excess of one billion USD.
Brian holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English with a minor in Art History from Union College in Schenectady, NY. Brian speaks regularly on the topic of high net worth insurance and risk management for art collections on panels across the globe. Brian works with many of the world’s top collectors, artists, estates, foundations, galleries, and museums and assists in managing the risk of maintaining and owning their collections and luxury assets. Brian currently insures 5 of the Artnews top 200 Art Collectors. He has a team of industry professionals to help his clients in the event of a claim or maintenance issue: these include smoke and water restoration companies, storage companies, art handlers, attorneys, conservators, appraisers and contractors.
Brian is a member of PAIAM, Professional Advisors to the International Art Market. Additionally, Brian is involved with or donates to a number of charities/non-profits including: Americans for the Arts, Art Fund Association, Avenues for Justice, Rush Philanthropic, National Jewelry Institute, the Lotus House, Fundación Jumex, The Brain Tumor Foundation, and Pitt Hopkins Research Foundation.
Sarah holds a Master's degree in Art History from Richmond, The American International University in London, and began her insurance career in 2004 as a Lloyd's of London Fine Art & Specie broker for Heath Lambert/Blackwell Green. In 2007, Sarah took a position at Aon U.K. where she placed specialty coverage for university collections, museums, galleries, private collections, and artists. Sarah moved to the United States (Miami) in 2010 to serve as the National Fine Art Specialist for Frank Crystal & Co. She then returned to act as the Director of Aon's Global Fine Art practice. Sarah left Aon in 2016 and spent a year at Alliant prior to joining VFGI.
Sarah's unique combination of receiving her formal underwriting training in the United Kingdom as a Lloyd's of London broker, along with her United States sales experience provides VFGI clients with an advocate who understands worldwide risk, complicated insurance placement, and the needs associated with ownership and maintenance of luxury assets.
Sarah is a member of several art organizations and sits on the local Public Art Advisory Board in her community. She was named an 'Elite Woman in Insurance’ by the Insurance Business America magazine. She won the 2016 Power Broker Award and ’40 Under 40’ award from Risk and Insurance magazine.
